Overview

Responsibilities

  • We are seeking a Data Analyst to support our regulatory reporting, compliance monitoring and testing. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Crime Compliance, you will identify opportunities for where automated compliance monitoring can be enhanced
  • You will support strategic projects and interact with multiple teams across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Risk, and more. You will join a team leading continuous improvements and implementing data-driven controls from a financial crime compliance perspective
  • Maintain and optimise the current Financial Crime Compliance reporting system
  • Create and implement controls to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial crime compliance reporting
  • Work with large datasets, ensuring a high level of accuracy
  • Understand the relationship between financial crime systems, data and compliance, and look for opportunities to enhance processes and systems
  • Support the Financial Crime Compliance team in making data-driven decisions

Requirements:

  • Data Affinity: Comfortable manipulating and interpreting large data sets via SQL or Python/R
  • Technical Proficiency: you know your way around microsoft excel / google sheets but also have a basic level of experience with “modern data stack” tools (dbt, Snowflake, Looker, Github)
  • Pragmatic and structured: you know how to solve a complex problem step by step, and draw actionable conclusions through clear and concise communication
  • Creativity and proactivity: you know how to find simple and creative approaches to complex problems, and you proactively seek out new ways of exploiting data
  • Curiosity and attention to detail: you like to explore and understand the trends and strange cases that catch your eye
  • One team: you are a team player, comfortable with changes and repivoting efforts following feedback from other colleagues and teams
