Senior Technical Program Director

Overview

Responsibilities

  • The Technical Program Manager leads the cloud technology deployment program, including the planning, scheduling, and deployment activities for Axway’s cloud technology
  • They will also manage individual projects, as they relate to cloud technology currency
  • They will identify, collect, and communicate technical requirements to key stakeholders to ensure we are optimizing the use of our technology
  • They will participate in the governance of our cloud technology providers & vendors, ensuring reliable, scalable, and cost-effective solutions
  • The position reports to Axway’s Senior Vice President, Global Cloud and Managed Services
  • Work closely with Axway’s Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE) and Cloud Engineering teams, putting cloud architecture & technology recommendations into practice
  • Update and maintain Axway’s cloud technology deployment roadmap and schedule, ensuring cloud technology aligns with Axway’s policies and best practices
  • Engage with Axway product management & software engineering teams to provide feedback from the field and to maintain awareness of product roadmaps
  • Work with the Axway Managed Cloud PMO to manage cloud technology implementations, updates and upgrades, following established project management methodologies
  • Manage diverse, cross-functional, concurrently running project teams (architects, engineers, developers and/or consultants) in geographically distributed locations, using sound problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
  • Manage program/project risks, issues, dependencies, actions, change requests and provide regular status reporting
  • Establish program/project baselines and track compliance and deviations from established baselines
  • Develop, maintain, and present program/project materials to key stakeholders and produce executive-ready documentation and deliverables
  • Manage to program/project budgets

Requirements:

  • We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our Global Cloud and Managed Services organization
  • Education: Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related Engineering subjects
  • 7+ years of Project/Program Management experience within technology, or other complex fields
  • 7+ years of pertinent technology experience with cloud infrastructures & software technology
  • Certifications: PMP, Scrum Master, ITIL, and cloud-specific certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure) are highly desirable
  • Experience with systems integration, software deployment, infrastructure deployment, change management and quality assurance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Accountable team player with a constructive transparent attitude, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a geographically dispersed team in multiple time zones
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, balanced with ability to analyze multiple options to meet responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams while maintaining high level of customer satisfaction
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations by understanding stakeholder needs, determining alternatives and communicating effectively
  • Thrives on working under pressure in a dynamic environment and stays flexible through organizational growth and change
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS services: EC2; EBS; S3; EKS; Route53; IAM; Load balancers; ACM VPN; VPC; Private Link; Transit Gateway; WAF; RDS; Systems Manager; Billing; Trusted Advisor; SSO; Cloud Watch; Cloud Trail; Backup; Lambda
  • Strong working knowledge of Azure services
  • Experience in system and/or application administration using Linux or other Unix systems
  • Transfer protocols and related technologies experience (SFTP, HTTPS, FTP/S and PeSIT)
  • Experience in the web application security and federated identity industry (SAML)
  • Experience with Databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB or PosgreSQL)
  • Good working knowledge of Networking concepts and tools: Routing, Switching, Firewall security, Proxy, Reverse Proxy, HAProxy, Nginx
  • Experience with infrastructure and application monitoring tools
  • Experience with DevOps technologies such as docker, container platforms, Ansible, GitHub
  • Experience with container-based cluster engines using Kubernetes and/or OpenShift
  • Experience in working with CRM tools like Salesforce
  • Experience with ITIL based ServiceNow and Jira/Confluence
  • Cloud security compliance and awareness (IAM, PCI, SSO, WAF, Malware, anti-virus tools)
  • Experience with Axway Solutions, such as Secure Transport, B2Bi, API Manager, Amplify and Accounting Integration
