Full Stack Engineer

Overview

Responsibilities

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Full Stack Developer to join our team and play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing one of our core partnership accounting engines
  • This engine, built on the Django framework, is essential to our business operations, processing complex financial calculations related to asset management
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and accuracy of this critical system
  • Maintain and enhance the existing Django-based partnership accounting engine
  • Collaborate with our investment operations and fund accounting teams to oversee and assist in the execution of important platform functions
  • Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of asset management concepts, including capital calls, management fees, distributions, equalization, and partner capital account statements
  • Lead the data migration from the existing platform to our target partnership accounting engine

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development, as well as familiarity with asset management concepts
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack Python development, with a focus on Django
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (experience with modern frameworks like React, Vue is a plus)
  • Proficiency in working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, such as CircleCI
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Datadog
  • Solid understanding of asset management principles and financial calculations related to partnerships
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Java, particularly the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Data, IoC, and Spring Cloud)
  • Knowledge of a messaging solution such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Experience working in virtualized environments like Docker
