Responsibilities

  • Simpleshow, the global market leader for explainer videos, is seeking a Business Development Representative to support the top-of-the-funnel sales process with outbound prospecting
  • Our ideal candidate is highly self-motivated and will fuel our sales pipeline to aid us in continued sales growth with new and existing Fortune 500 corporate clients
  • Simply put, our Business Development Representative (BDR) handles sourced leads, prospecting, and nurturing leads into new client accounts
  • In this role, you will develop our sales pipeline by identifying business opportunities and building what will become long-term relationships with prospects to continue company growth, increase revenue, and improve profits

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through targeted outbound campaigns using telephone, email, and the web - you’ll be able to build creative campaigns and iterate to find what is most effective
  • Support the Sales Managers and broader sales team within an assigned territory by conducting a high volume of prospecting for open leads (our BDRs aren’t shy about picking up the phone)
  • Set qualified meetings for assigned Sales Managers based on set criteria
  • Become a product expert and partner with Sales Managers to consult the best-customized solutions to meet prospective customers’ communication needs
  • Build rapport and work effectively with a cross-functional team to meet account performance objectives and develop a healthy lead pipeline
  • Work effectively in a remote setting; all of your colleagues are only a video call away, but your daily commute will be to your home office

Requirements:

  • Are you a self-motivated professional who enjoys meeting and exceeding goals? Sales-minded? Naturally curious and friendly? If you’re ambitious, goal-oriented, and hungry for knowledge, this is your perfect role!
  • A strong business and sales acumen, positive attitude, and are an approachable, professional relationship builder
  • 1-2+ years of experience as a top performer in a client-facing role, quota-carrying role
  • Prior experience working as an outbound BDR or SDR is not required but strongly preferred to simplify new hire training and decrease ramp time to production
  • Understand that timing is everything; there is no standard sales cycle for our products - some prospects are ready to buy right away, while others need more time
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable speaking with prospective clients of all levels, including C-level executives
  • Prior knowledge of SalesForce.com or other CRM system
  • Experience using Sales Engagement and Sales intel software like SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Orum, etc
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • An agile working style, open to adopting evolving simpleshow practices and technology - you sell it, and we will deliver it with the utmost customer service and client satisfaction!
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Management, or another related field (relevant work experience can be considered in lieu of a degree)
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Google Workspace, Excel, and other word-processing tools
  • Experience selling into complex organizations across various industries
  • Experience selling technology or E-Learning solutions
  • Familiarity with our target departments: Learning and Development (L&D), Training, Compliance, and Emergency Health and Safety (EHS)
