Payroll Manager

Overview

Responsibilities

  • We are looking for a Payroll Manager to lead, structure and oversee payroll operations by controlling and verifying our payroll transactions. This position will report to the Controller
  • Develop, document and enforce payroll processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Manage external PEO service providers
  • Support the training and development of the hourly employee time card submission and approval process
  • Prepare month-end & year-end payroll journal entries
  • Support the monthly OPEX Headcount budget to actual analyses with FP&A team
  • Prepare monthly payroll GL reconciliations monthly
  • Manage payroll tax returns
  • Support annual financial statement audit, annual 401k audit and workers comp audits
  • Review and recommend modifications to payroll systems and procedures
  • Manage the implementation of payroll system recommendations/modifications/ interfaces

Requirements:

  • BS degree
  • 8+ years experience in payroll processing
  • Thorough knowledge of basic payroll procedures and controls
  • Hands-on experience with payroll software packages (JustWork or Payfit a plus)
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to formulate and articulate valid conclusions
