Alternative Provision Operations Manager

Overview

Responsibilities

  • Remote role overseeing and managing 60-100 CYP undergoing SEND Tuition
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, local authorities, families, and other agencies to enhance provision and referrals
  • Lead, develop, and oversee the strategic direction and operational management of Alternative Provision
  • Ensure the provision meets safeguarding and health & safety requirements, maintaining accurate records and reporting where necessary
  • Oversee budget management for AP programmes, ensuring cost-effective delivery while maintaining quality
  • Get involved in tutor recruitment ensuring tutor supply matches demand
  • Manage relationships with councils and liaise with key staff members within each council
  • Be the point of contact for our alternative provision tutors

Requirements:

  • High level of organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven Experience in education (preferably Alternative Provision, SEND/SEMH but not required)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to challenges
  • Be proactive and contribute ideas to the growth of the business
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to plan, implement, and evaluate projects effectively
  • IT literate with the ability to manage applications such as Gmail, Asana and Slack
  • Strong communicator and ability to build rapport with parents and tutors
  • Ability to multi-task and be agile to adapt to challenges
  • Resilient and able to work under pressure in a very fast-paced environment
