Key Account Manager

Overview

Responsibilities

  • As we continue to expand our market presence, we are seeking a talented and experienced Key Account Manager to join our team and drive new business growth through strategic sales initiatives
  • This is a role that is remote from the office but will require travel to client sites across the North West of England
  • Reports To: Head of Key Accounts
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand market share within a designated territory
  • Identify and prioritise prospective clients through market research, networking, and cold calling
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at target dealerships
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value proposition and benefits of our products/services
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to tailor solutions that meet client needs requirements
  • Negotiate contracts and terms of agreement with prospective clients to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Track and analyse sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and market developments to capitalise on emerging opportunities
  • This role requires travel to client sites across the North-West

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in field sales and business development, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in similar role
  • Whilst motor industry experience; specifically, knowledge of manufacturers and the used car market would be desirable, high awareness of excellent customer service and a sincere desire to exceed is essential
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, negotiation strategies, and business development principles
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in CRM software
  • Valid drivers’ licence and willingness to travel within assigned territory
